Founded in 2010, Squla was the first curriculum based, educational gaming platform in the Netherlands. Today Squla is the Dutch market leader in interactive online learning for primary schools, an achievement we are hoping to attain in the 8 other countries where we have a presence.
Day after day, our 70 employees strive to make a difference in learning and gaming. Building new game-types, adding new quiz questions and tailoring it all to the lives of children through the use of colourful designs and fun animations. In our test labs, with the help of children and teachers, we ensure that our new features are engaging and motivational to those that matter: children. At Squla we are convinced that all children love to learn and what better way to learn than in a fun interactive learning environment. That is what the 70 dedicated Squlamakers work on everyday.
Squla’s vision is to prepare children for academic success by fueling their curiosity for knowledge, boosting confidence and cultivating a lifelong love of learning through the use of fun, interactive games and quizzes.
Today’s children love to play games on computers, smartphones and tablets. Squla transforms this screen time into an educational experience by combining children’s love of gaming and technology with fun curriculum-based content.
On March 26 2015, André Haardt, founder of Squla, gave his TED-talk at TEDx AmsterdamED on learning in modern times.
